New Advisory Council members of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award - the fifth session

The Sheikh Zayed Book Award announced that Prof. Dr. AbdulSalam Msedi and Dr. Eugene Rogan have become members of its Advisory Council’s fifth session of 2010 – 2011. They join a group of high ranking intellectuals on the Arab and international levels; Mr.Rashed Al Oraimi Advisory Council member and Secretary-General, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Mohammed Al Murr from UAE , Dr. Salah Fadl from Egypt, and Dr. Mohammed Kafoud from Qatar. This change is in line with the Award’s rules, which stipulates that Advisory Council members can be changed in order to reflect different geographical affiliations, and enrich the process with new ideas and views while sustaining the rich experience accumulated in the past years by the Award. The newly formed Advisory Council will meet for on the 27th of the current month to discuss the names of judges proposed for the fifth session, as well as probing the Award future projects, which include a number of lectures and cultural activities in the United Kingdom, Cape Town, the Frankfurt International Book Fair, and others.
