Prizes in the Arab World

The Sheikh Zayed Book Award participated in a seminar held during the London Book fair as part of a series of seminars organized by the British Council. This event provided an overview for publishers, agents and writers of international prizes and the Arab World and was chaired by Boyd Tonkin, Literary Editor in The Independent Newspaper.. Mr. Rashed Al Oraimi, Secretary General of Sheikh Zayed Book represented the Award alongside Jonathon Taylor from the International Prize of Arabic Fiction, Omar Ghobash from Saif Ghobash-Banipal Prize for Literary Translation and Mark Linz from the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature.
