Best Publishing House Prize Granted To Al- Masriah Al-Lubnaniah

Abu Dhabi, March 1, 2009 - Sheikh Zayed Book Award announced the Prize for best publishing house to Al-Dar Al- Masriah Al-Lubnaniah in Cairo. The Secretary General of the Award, Rashed Al Oraimi said “Al-Dar Al- Masriah Al-Lubnaniah met successfully all the conditions related to publishing in terms of quantity and quality of production, distribution of books along with maintaining the intellectual property rights of authors. They have a wide range of works, consisting of books and translated literature exceeding 750 writers, one hundred translators in the past few years.” Best Technology in the field of culture was withheld this year. Al Oraimi said " the prize aims to recognizes written or digital works and scientific researches which promote the Arabic literature, the advisory council decided the nominations received this year have not fulfilled the necessary criteria.” The Sheikh Zayed Book Award winners will be awarded in a prestigious tribute ceremony on 18 March 2008 at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
