Mohamed bin Zayed attends Sheikh Zayed Book Award ceremony

[gallery link="none" ids="218,219,220,221,222"] ABU DHABI, 4th May, 2014 (WAM) -- His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of U.A.E. Armed Forces, today affirmed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia earned his high international stature through his valuable contributions to backing peace and tolerance around the world, as well as through his role in backing the cultural, literary and scientific progress in the Kingdom and overseas. H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed made his remarks as he honoured the winners the 8th edition of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, in a ceremony at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). During the ceremony, HRH Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's Minister of the National Guard, received the trophy of the Cultural Personality of the year 2014 award on behalf of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud winner of the award, from H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. "The civilisational achievements and initiatives at all regional and international levels see the strong and effective presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the efforts to promote the values of good, love, justice and humane giving," said H.H. Sheikh Mohamed. "Based on its belief in their role in advancing nations and peoples, U.A.E., under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, celebrates science and its leaders, intellectuals and thinkers in all scientific and humane domains," added H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. On his part, HRH Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the late Founding Father of U.A.E., Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, had a long-standing relationship of friendship, sincerity, and fraternity. Thank God, this fraternal relationship is now with the sons of the late founding father, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in particular, and still dominate the relationship between the two peoples." "The relationship between U.A.E. and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is historic. Thank God, today we see the Sheikh Zayed Book Award has attained this high stature in the Muslim World and Arab World," added HRH Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz. Later, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honoured the other winners of the 8th edition of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award including Dr. Saeed Abdullah Al Soyan (Contribution to the Development of Nations), Jawdat Fakhr Eldine (Children's Literature Award), Rami Abu Shihab (Young Author Award), Mohammed Al Tahir Al Mansouri (Translation Award), Abdel Rasheed Mahmoudi (Literature Award), Mario Liverani (Culture in Other Languages Award), and Tunisia's Arab Foundation "House of Wisdom" (Publishing and Technology Award). Present at the ceremony were H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in the Eastern Region H.H. Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, H.H.
