Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bechari

Dr. Mohammed Bechari is the Secretary-General of the World Muslim Communities Council and one of the world’s most influential Islamic figures. With a PhD in Islamic jurisprudence and its principles, he has held top positions in various Islamic and international institutions and regularly contributes to the regional press. He has received several distinguished honours, including the King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein Medal of Excellence and the Order of Arts and Sciences of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Dr. Bechari has led the General Federation of Muslims in France and the Council of European Muslims, in addition to serving as the Dean of the Ibn Sina Institute for Humanities in France. His works focus on Islamic thought and contemporary challenges; they include ‘The Question of Tolerance: An Introduction to a Human Civilization System’, ‘The Interplay between Philosophy and Ethics’ and ‘Trends in the International System in the Post-Covid World’ (2023). He has also contributed to research on Muslim integration in Europe and intellectual shifts within Islamic movements.
