Dr. Rami Abu Shehab

Dr. Abu Shihab was born in Zarqa in Jordan, 1974 and holds a master’s degree in literature and Arabic criticism from the University of Jordan and a doctorate in modern literary criticism (discourse and critical theory) from Cairo’s Institute of Arab Research and Studies which he achieved with magna cum laude.
Dr. Abu Shihab began his career as a teacher of Arabic in public schools in Jordan before moving to work as a teacher and lecturer at the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development – a position he still holds to this day.
Dr. Abu Shihab has participated in many lectures and cultural conferences and published a number of books, including a collection of poems entitled ‘Gentlemen, I have returned after a short death.’ He has gathered plentiful literary references and had dozens of research papers, articles and poems published in Arabic magazines and newspapers including Qatar’s Al Watan, and Al Quds Al-Arabi, Al Arab, and the Emirati newspaper Al Ittihad.
